One of the plates we were required to pass towards the end of the term for Workshop 1 involved having to make a 1:20M scale model of a condominium unit. We chose Toni's floor plan, isometric views, etc. This was done during the last month of the term, so we only had a few days to meet as a group to assemble everything. Since we knew we had to choose the simplest one cos of the time constraint, we wanted to make sure that ours would look realistic and neat. My main task was to build and finish the structural elements (walls, floors, jambs, hardware, etc.) but in the end we were all helping each other out with the different areas of the model. Even if we were practically zombies (thanks to the poisonous subjects) during the late nights (or for some... mornings) of working on this thing, it was so fun cos of all the food and jokes! Can I just say that we had the best group ever? Wish we were allowed to pick out 8 people in our major thesis before graduation but sadly we can only have a maximum of 4 members per group.

We were pretty contented with the outcome and even got to pass a week early! We each got 99% for this plate. Yay!

And I'm SO THANKFUL that my groupmates didn't kill me for ditching earlier on some nights since my sister and I had to do some gigs and I guess we can all say that holiday traffic was the worst in Manila.

THANKS A BUNCH to my groupmates:

Yes of course. It's hard to find miniature furniture pieces that are in the 1:20M scale. :)

Galing your work ladies :) I'm building a diorama similar to your scale (1/24)and is desperately looking for scale furniture as well... a point to the right direction would be great!

We made all the furniture pieces from scratch! haha.. We didn't like the toy/plastic pieces and had to follow our group mate's approved designs.

Like the lamp shades- those are just bottle caps from super glue/ Mighty bond... Same as the flower pots and holders- they're all little items from our tool box/ cabinets! haha... You just have to be resourceful + use a lot of spray paint :))
